On December 14-15, Vilnius University Faculty of Economics and Business Administration hosted the International Scientific Conference "World Finance and Banking Symposium". More than 100 international scholars, national bank researchers, and academics from prestigious universities from 35 countries gathered in the festively decorated city of Vilnius during these days.
21 December Vilnius University hosted a festive Christmas party "Celebrating the Year 2023". The event recalled the works of the calendar year 2023, honoured the members of the University's academic community who have distinguished themselves this year, and made wishes for the upcoming New Year. The Rector, Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas, and the President of the Senate, Prof. Eglė Lastauskienė, greeted the participants of the evening.

On 11 December, the Ministry of Finance awarded the winners of the Ministry's research paper competition and their supervisors. Congratulations to Renata Miškinienė, a student of the Accounting and Auditing Programme (post-graduate studies) in the Management Branch of the EVAF, who won the second place in the Bachelor's thesis category, and her supervisor is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daiva Tamulevičienė.
