Vilnius University Technology Hub – TechHub is a cooperation platform, which purpose is to combine three main areas: students, researchers and business, in order to create preconditions for the development of new high value-added technologies and contribute to the promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation in the academic community.
Led by lecturers and mentors from the business field, students will be able to take advantage of the opportunities of interdisciplinarity at the university, offering innovative product and process solutions to Lithuanian business.Researchers will be able to organize into groups to solve complex problems of Lithuanian companies and test ideas. And the university's strong international connections will allow Tech Hub team members to actively collaborate with the best European universities: to adopt and apply their practices in our business and state governance.
TechHub pre-accelerator is the most intensive and most startups mentoring program in Lithuania.
During the program, startups participate in a three-month training program, in which, with the help of innovation experts and personal mentors, they have the opportunity to develop their ideas to a minimum product, gain the necessary knowledge for further business development, get to know investors and business angels and receive valuable prizes.
Applications for participation in the pre-accelerator may be submitted by:
- Teams with an innovative idea who want to set up a startup. For incompletely formed teams, mentors will help to find missing team members. Successful teams will need to establish a legal entity during their participation in the program.
- Startups – very small or small companies with high and innovation-based business development potential, operating for no more than 5 years.
Selected candidates will be invited for a motivational interview with pre-accelerator mentors. Startups will be evaluated basen on the innovativeness and viability of the product they are developing, as well as the team's competencies and opportunities to develop the product. After evaluating the applications, 25 teams will be invited.
