Turn your ideas into a startup with the VU Tech Hub Pre-accelerator
Empower your knowledge. Launch your startup.
Are you a student at Vilnius University or planning to start in September? Are you eager to harness your knowledge in a real business, meet like-minded students who share your passion, and may even become your business partners? Then join us as we guide you through the exciting process of creating a startup! The Tech Hub Pre-accelerator is a 20-week program designed to equip participants with essential entrepreneurial skills while offering hands-on experience in launching a startup.
How does it work?
The program unfolds in two phases, beginning with a Teaming Phase, where participants engage in team-building activities to help teams find missing members, while individuals have the opportunity to join existing teams.
In the Startup Building Phase, teams develop their startup ideas with the support of experienced mentors, practical workshops, and hands-on guidance. The program covers topics such as defining the problem, identifying target customers, analyzing competitors, crafting marketing and sales strategies, building an MVP, learning how to pitch to investors, and more.
Why should you participate?
- Opportunity to meet a co-founder: The program brings together motivated individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill sets, giving you the opportunity to collaborate and assess compatibility.
- Gain business development skills and knowledge while creating your own startup: Learn directly from industry experts in innovation, business strategy, marketing, and sales — with personalized mentorship.
- Network with investors: Present your ideas to investors, meet business angels, and step into the startup ecosystem.
- Access to state-of-the-art co-working space: Utilize Tech Hub meeting rooms and shared workspaces located at the faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
- Prizes and partner offers: Students will receive perks from our partners, and the top-performing teams will be rewarded with prizes (TBA).
Who can apply?
Vilnius University students or those starting in September, who want to learn about business creation and try building a startup themselves, and who already have a startup idea and a team. During the application process, candidates will provide information about their skills and briefly explain their motivation to join the program.
Don’t have an idea or a team yet? You can still apply and join SEB Fast Track — an intensive week of team-building exercises and diverse business challenges, giving you the chance to win a spot in the Tech Hub program. More details will be announced in September.
What will the program look like?
The program lasts 20 weeks, starting on November 20 and ending in April. Workshops will take place on Thursday evenings starting at 4:30 pm and occasionally on Tuesdays at 4:30 pm.
