DATA ANALYST (PASSPORT CITIES)
We are currently looking for City Data Analyst who will be responsible for city data research, modelling and forecasting. In this role she/he would also be responsible for managing a team of freelance researchers, checking their data research and estimates. Further, this new team member should contribute to the overall strategic planning and ad hoc tasks within the project.
Your Profile:
• Research and analyse socio-economic and demographic data at city level from statistical offices, municipalities, city development agencies, international organisations;
• Standardise raw statistical data to ensure comparability of city data;
• Extrapolating and interpolating the data by devising modelling and forecasting techniques based on quantitative and judgmental methods;
• Commissioning data research, standardization, modelling and forecasting from freelance associates in Lithuania and around the world;
• Properly documenting research process and sharing best practises;
• Liaising with sales and marketing departments and dealing with client queries.
Skills/Proficiencies required:
• Interest in national and city economic, demographic and social trends
• Experience in statistical data research, analysis and data manipulation
• Excellent communication skills and English fluency (both oral & writing)
• Degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar field
• Organizational ability, creativity and attention to detail
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Knowledge of at least one econometric/statistical software package (R, Matlab, Eviews, Stata, RATS, SAS). Knowledge of R statistical package would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of other foreign languages would be an advantage
