As the new academic year approaches, Vilnius University invites first-year students to join its traditional events – from the festive RENOVATIO STUDIORUM ceremony and the VU community parade to VUniverse 2025, a series of activities designed to help newcomers integrate into university life.

At the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA), students will not only experience the spirit of the whole university but also take part in faculty-focused activities that will make their start at VU smoother and more engaging.

First steps with VU e-services

On 29 August, students are invited to online introductory lectures about the most important VU e-services:

  • 12:00 – session for Bachelor’s students, introducing VU information systems, how to access them, and practical Q&A.
  • 13:30 – session for Master’s students, with information tailored to their needs.

September 1: The official start of the academic year

  • 09:30 – the traditional RENOVATIO STUDIORUM ceremony will begin with the raising of the VU flag in the Library Courtyard (Universiteto St. 3).
  • 14:45 – the spectacular VU community parade will bring together students, faculty members, and alumni, starting from the Seimas building and ending in VU’s Grand Courtyard. The event will include welcome speeches, the freshmen’s oath, and the official announcement of the new academic year.

During the parade, each faculty presents its symbols, chants slogans, and showcases its creativity – a unique chance for EVAF students to feel the true VU spirit.

FEBA introduction activities: meet, play, connect

  • 2–4 September – activities to get to know fellow students, mentors, and faculty administration.
  • 4 September – the informal EVAF picnic, filled with icebreaker games, fun activities, and new friendships.
  • 5 September – the university-wide event “Ad astra”, organized by VU Student Representation, featuring discussions on relevant topics, introductions to student initiatives, and a closing concert.

Explore VU’s history and spaces

From 8 to 10 September, students will have the chance to take part in guided tours: discovering the Saulėtekis campus, exploring the Ideas Observatory, and experiencing the historic central campus architecture.
