DATA ANALYST (MATERNITY COVER) INDUSTRIAL ANALYSIS
We are currently looking for a data analyst to work on custom econometric modelling projects from our Vilnius office.
Data Analyst will be responsible for researching, updating, modelling, standardising and constantly expanding the database material to meet the needs and deadlines of the publications schedule.
Key Responsibilities
• Constant monitoring and improvement of standards for data collection and standardization
• Researching, updating and extending the data contained on our central statistical databases
• Analysing and manipulating statistics relevant to the requirements of our publications, carrying out calculations and numerical analysis as required using R statistical package
• Standardising raw statistical data to ensure cross country and cross industry comparability
• Extrapolating and interpolating the data by devising modelling and forecasting techniques based on quantitative and judgemental methods
Required Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills and English fluency (both oral and writing)
• Understanding and interest in international economic, demographic and industry trends
• A high level of numeracy, with a strong interest in understanding of statistical data and presenting them in an imaginative way
• Methodical approach to repetitive tasks and unwavering attention to detail
• Knowledge of at least one statistical/econometric software package (preferably R)
• Creativity in problem solving
• Excellent analytics skills
• Confidence and ability to take the post forward with the minimum of supervision
• Bachelor degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, econometrics
