Faculty of Economics and Business Administration has become an institutional member of Baltic Management Development Association (BMDA) and joined the international BMDA network uniting close to 70 members, coming from 27 countries from all over the world. By making this step we once again proved our readiness and commitment to implement the newest management and business administration principles in our activities, to share our findings, to make a progress in the field.

BMDA was founded at the end of 2002, as a regional management development network, initiated by universities, business schools, individual professors and business professionals from the Baltic and other countries. From the very beginning, the Association started to induce the quality of management development in the Baltic region and beyond through promoting research, offering educational services and networking opportunities for management development institutions and business enterprises.

"Bridging East and West" became the main motto of BMDA. By establishing a virtual bridge between the East and West Management schools, especially taking into account the enriching nature of collaboration of different scientific cultures, BMDA provides a unique opportunity for its members to share the experience of transformation, rapid growth, and managing organizations for stabilization.

FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION WILL BENEFIT FROM BMDA PARTNERSHIP IN:

• Competence development: Vilnius University will have the possibility to participate in and suggest topics of the lecturers' and administrative staff competence development seminars, organized by BMDA, as well as participate in the events organized by BMDA or the other BMDA members, using the member's discount.
• Sharing the newest information in the field of management: publishing articles, announcing Vilnius University news and achievements (received accreditations, ranking results, new education programmes implemented etc.), or upcoming events organized by the University (trainings, conferences etc.) in order to attract participants or spread information about activities and enhance awareness about Vilniaus University easier and faster.
• Development of cooperation possibilities and partnership network: possibility to make new academic connections that in perspective could become a long lasting partnership or accelerate development of joint or double degree diploma or students/faculty exchange opportunities or even increase International students' number by offering them joint programs with Partners institutions.
