The Department of Business unites scholars that share a keen interest in the way management theories contribute to a better understanding of business practices. Our team has strong commitment to rigorous empirical research in close collaboration with corporative and institutional partners. The Department conducts research, teaching, and knowledge exchange in the areas of business process management (business process efficiency, business process management tools, process implementation in organizations, etc.), global value chains (clustering processes, logistic, supply chains, etc.), business creation (youth entrepreneurship, women entrepreneurs, start-up ecosystems, and others). We’re interested in studying management issues in service industries, such as tourism, retail, insurance, and logistics.
